History of VM Services
Established in 1984 as the operations arm of the non-profit organisation, South African Value Management Foundation, VM Services was eventually registered as a company in it's own right early in 1991.
In the years since then, VM Services has ensured to keep abreast of international events concerning the development of Value Analysis, Value Engineering and Value Management methodologies. In this way we have maintained the perfect position from which to pioneer exciting and innovative applications of these techniques in Southern Africa.
Having a successful track record in the field of Value Management and Value Engineering VM Services has, together with our clients, engineered new thought processes in many large corporations, resulting in large shifts in thinking and decision making with positive impacts on profitability and quality.
VM Services learns from both the worlds of commerce and academia, lecturing the methodology we practice at top South African universities and business schools, as we have done since our inception in 1984 sharing our knowledge with thousands of people in all fields of commerce.
This exposure eventually led us to develop our short learning programs, which have been fully accredited by the Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE International), we have Certified Value Specialist (CVS) status and are aligned to the requirements of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
